From the suburbs of Los Angeles comes J+k+L. Boldly melding multiple influences to forge their own unique sound, J+k+L follows “More Than Words” with new songs that express the gamut of emotions from lustful longing to heartbreak and betrayal with "Mystr'y Lover" and "You Thought I Didn’t Know".
The turbulence of love and relationships are explored and taken to new heights by the southern California trio.
Linda Vogel brings it with sultry to soaring vocals, Jimmy James adds flavor to the mix with his secret arsenal of sounds, while Matt Hamilton's guitar goes from sexy tease to sonic wails.
J+k+L bring their varied backgrounds together to form a sound that shifts genres while exploring tales of the heart. It's a new chapter in the story of J+k+L.
Linda Vogel
Classically trained with a degree in music from USC, Los Angeles native Linda Vogel started playing the piano at the age of 5 and began singing publicly at the age of 16. She was channeling artists as diverse as Diana Ross and the Supremes, Shirley Manson and Whitney Houston. Performing live with bands, stage productions and solo performances, she immersed herself in the arts which lead to tours of Europe and Asia as well as performances up and down the state of California. With a love of swing, jazz, pop and rock. Linda bares her soul with every performance.
Jimmy James
Born and raised in Southern California, Jimmy James is the consummate musician. He has toured the world extensively both as a musician and a sound engineer. Operating his own recording studio, he's the nicest guy you will ever meet and a heck of a producer. Born with perfect pitch, he is the glue that holds it together as well as the one who makes everyone sound good. Classically trained, he is at home whether he's fronting his own original alt-rock band, playing in a cover band or engineering sound for a symphony orchestra. J+k+L is another chapter in his ever growing book of life.
Matt Hamilton
Matt Hamilton learned to play music on the streets and in the clubs of L.A. and Hollywood. Playing mainly guitar and bass in punk and post punk bands, Born in the San Gabriel Valley, music has been the one constant in his life. From playing in rock n roll bands in high school talent shows to gritty nightclubs to recording solo material. Matt has always been sharing his love of music with the world.
